The Haiphong Harbour Master has issued a temporary closure of port services due to the damage caused by the recent storm, citing reports of containers being blown off carriers into the sea, sunken barges and vessels running aground.

As a safety measure there will be a temporary stop on all vessel movements within the port facility.

Services will resume as soon as possible.
