UPDATE: Berthing delays at Lahad Datu Malaysia have back to normal condition 07-Apr-2011

Lahad Datu port situation is back to normal condition has with no vessels at the anchorage waiting to berth.

Malaysia - berthing delays experienced at Kuantan and Lahad Datu due to vessel congestion - 09 March 2011

Bulk cargo vessels carrying cargoes such as iron ore, fertiliser, gypsum, copper and slag are experiencing berthing delays of between 7 to 14 days at Kuantan port due to vessel congestion.

Similarly, vessels are having to wait approximately 24 hours at the anchorage before being able to berth at Lahad Datu.
