International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) will take delivery of eight brand new rubber-tyred gantries (RTGs), to support new berth 6 operations at its Manila International Container Terminal (MICT). The new RTGs, worth USD 10.7 million, will arrive from June next year, in time for the start-up of berth 6. The units will bring the terminal’s RTG fleet from 37 to 45, the largest such fleet in the Philippines as well as among other ICTSI terminals worldwide. The move, together with the start-up of berth 6, will boost MICT’s annual capacity from 1.9 to 2.5 million teu.
