Indonesia – Sorong Branch Office Wins Customs Award

We are pleased to announce that our Sorong branch office was recognized and awarded certification by the local customs authority during their recent annual gathering with all stakeholders from the marine and logistics community. Recognition as the ”Best Marine Agent for Obedience and Compliance to Customs Regulations and Procedures”, was a great reward for our branch office’s efforts in executing daily activities in an efficient and compliant manner.

China Issues Guidelines for Low Sulphur Fuel

With effect from January 1, 2019, vessels entering all Chinese ports should use low sulphur fuel with sulphur content less than 0.5%. Previously, only three ECA zones – Beihai RIM, Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta – had this requirement but it has now been extended to all ports within China.

From January 1, 2020, vessels entering Chinese ports will be required to use low sulphur fuel with sulphur content less then 0.1%.

Support for Children’s Charities Association

The Children’s Charities Association of Singapore extends support to their 6 member charities to cater to the needs of member charities’ disabled and less privileged children, ensuring that every physically and socially disadvantaged child is able to lead a normal childhood. Charities included are:

  • Singapore Children’s Society
  • The Singapore Association for the Deaf
  • Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore
  • Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore
  • St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital
  • Association for Person with Special Needs

As part of our continuing support, Ben Line Agencies Singapore and its staff made a total donation of SGD 2,140 to support this cause.
