Ben Line Agencies Philippines recently held it yearly blood donation activity in partnership with Philippine Red Cross. A total of 39 bags of blood were donated by the employees during the activity. The blood donation is a regular activity of the Philippine Red Cross as part of its commitment to save lives. “One of the ways to save lives is to provide blood to someone who needs it”.

The idea of blood donation is to focus on the contribution an individual giver can make to improve health for others in the community. Blood donations are needed all over the world to ensure individuals and communities have access to safe and quality-assured blood and blood products in both normal and emergency situations.

The Ben Line name has been active in shipping since 1825, but why “Ben” ..?

Founded in Scotland, the companies’ vessels were all named after Scottish mountains, as shown on this poster from the 1990’s !. The vessels were well known and respected in the Industry as being of high quality and ground breaking design.
