The Mission to Seafarers – Global Ambassadors Meeting
On Monday 6th November, Ben Line attended the first Global Ambassadors meeting of the Mission to Seafarers (MtS) in Singapore. Attended by representatives from Shell, Rio Tinto, Anglo American, South32, Fairfield Chemical Tankers, Swire Bulk, BHP and Eastern Pacific Shipping, as we discussed ways to help improve seafarers welfare across the world.
Through our extensive network of offices across Asia Pacific, and through our wider Waterfront Maritime Services network, we are uniquely placed to be able to make a real difference to seafarer welfare, through our services and interactions with crew during port calls. During this meeting, we heard first hand from shipowners and operators, of their desire to make meaningful improvements to their seafarers wellbeing – as a Group, we will be formulating a clear plan on how Ben Line can best support our principals in their efforts to do this.
